"Admittedly, rough line dance choreographies cannot be performed to the songs of the trio. It is more like a gliding on a soft indie and synth wave, under bright and sunny weather. Which is always appreciated in Hamburg, where grey is the new grey."

Reeperbahn Festival (DE)

"Another reason why their music stands out is the timbre of the vocalist – sounding something similar to Jonas Bjerre from Mew it increases the warmness and joy racing to ones body. This is band who we plan to see on bigger stages!"

Creating a flowing motion mix of synthpop and dance-rock, Northern European band Audience Killers have roots that can be traced to the childhood friendship of lead singer Normunds (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Arletta (backing vocals, keyboards). In 2009, they began writing songs together. Early the following year, they went into the studio for live sessions, where Edgars became their drummer. Having formed in 2010, the trio swiftly released their first 2 songs. Their music features bright piano, melodic guitar, quaint falsetto vocal and warm synths used throughout the songs, all amalgamated with a sincere calling towards the dancefloor. But not disco! Not even close. Residing in Riga, Latvia, the band released their debut EP ‘Footprints And Hearts' in July 2012 on 'Lauren Laurén' record label. ‘Footprints And Hearts' were recorded in Riga (mastered by Christian Wright at Abbey Road Studios in London), collaborating with producer and musician Edgars Zilde (Augusts IV). Latvian music magazine 'Muzikas Saule' called this album - "Honey Toast for melodic and sentimental pop music listeners". Unlike their records, the live performance consists of one single exploration during which the trio go through a series of subgenre changes and push their collaborative effort as far as it can sustain. Coupled with danceable beats back interlocking rhythms and an peculiar falsetto vocal, Audience Killers offers wonderfully strange music on their own terms. Audience Killers has released their new single and corresponding video on November 5th 2013. Titled ‘Two Bare Feet’, the dreamy track is poised to usher listeners into the feel good holiday season with its momentous drum work, bright piano & xylophone riffs, ethereal group vocals, and themes of renewal. For the astute synthpop fan, lead singer Normunds Petrovs striking falsetto as heard in ‘Two Bare Feet’ will bring to mind flashes of current acts like M83 and Passion Pit. Written and produced by band itself, new single slightly stands out from their previous records with both its intimacy and its ambition. Recorded & mixed in Riga, Latvia with Gatis Zakis (Instrumenti) and mastered in Taunton, England by John Dent (Kasabian, Darwin Deez, Goldfrapp) ‘Two Bare Feet’ is the band’s most potent and distinct work to date. On 2014 the band to appear on festivals like ‘The Great Escape’ (UK), ‘Positivus’ (LV), 'Reeperbahn Festival' (DE), ‘Karkle’ (LT), ‘Vilnius Music Week’ (LT) and more.
